Home and Community Care

The Home and Community Care program provides services to community residents and elders that require assistance due to illness or injury. Services are provided in a holistic manner and looks at the person’s physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs recognizing that each person is unique. The program will support and improve the care provided by the family and the community but should not replace it. The Home and Community Care program has a Home and Community Care Case Manager/Nurse, Personal Support Workers, Outdoor Workers and Homemakers.

The Home and Community Care Program also provides services to the Sunrise Senior’s Complex.

The Jane Mattinas Health Centre provides health and prevention services that focuses on educational aspects of healthy living in a manner that promotes mutual respect in a safe environment.

If you have a health issue or concern, please contact us at 463-2155. See the list of staff below to help you determine who you should call.

If you have a medical emergency (heart attack, stroke, seizure, fainting or broken bones), call 911 immediately and make sure your house number is easy to see for the first response team. Note that fevers, blood pressure examinations, minor cuts, rashes, colds and flu are not considered emergencies and can either be treated at home or at the centre during regular working hours.
